1) Acid is the enemy of marble. Adhesive with Acid can lead to colour changes to marble stones. So Neutral Adhesive / Acid-Free Adhesive is recommended.

2) Marble has a higher porosity, which can result in the absorption of adhesive color and lead to discoloration of the marble tiles.
